Assembly Democrats are urging the Senate to skip breakfast in bed this Mother's Day - and focus on wage equality instead.

Democrats in Albany want to wrap up wage equality for Mother's Day this year, reports Cara Matthews at Gannett.  Legislation that would make wage discrimination based on gender, race or national origin illegal has passed the lower house and has yet to be taken up by the Senate.

The governor is taking another tour of New York, this time to tout his tax cap plan, which is languishing in the Assembly.  The argument over the two percent cap, which has passed the Senate, is coming down to what sort of municipal expenses (like healthcare or energy) are excluded from the cap, reports Tom Precious at the Buffalo News.

Erie, Pa. could be getting a 50 to 75 turbine wind farm, if a Texas energy developer gets its way, reports Valerie Myers at the Erie Times-News.  The 150 megawatt project is slated for a stretch of farmland south of the Thruway, in North East Township, and could take more than two years to build.
