The Innovation Trail is playing along with the Democrat and Chronicle's score online game.
If you're looking for the lead-in link to nab some points, here it is (updated - now it works!)
Not sure what we're talking about? Here's how you play the game:
score is a new gaming site from the Democrat and Chronicle that challenges Rochestarian's brains (and sometimes finger dexterity!) with online games and location-based check-ins throughout the Rochester area. Rochester has both a deep history and an ever-growing number of interesting places to check out, and score is designed to take advantage of both of those aspects of local life, inviting players to Open Rochester!
So what's the Innovation Trail's role in all of this? We've set up a mission for you to complete. Finish the tasks, get points, and proceed to global domination! Then get to work on the other missions, like "Rochester's Civil History with Bob Marcotte," "Escaping the Dork Fortress" (that's score! impressario Mark Newell's work), and "Chris's Foodie Finds."
Intrigued? Here's how you can register for the game and get playing.
And for our non-Rochester users - you're welcome to play too. Though it'll be a little tougher for you to complete the location-based "check-in" challenges, you can still complete the web-based image and word puzzles.
Big thanks to the Democrat and Chronicle for asking us to participate. We're excited to meet all of you score! players, and hope you'll be back to the Innovation Trail soon for more news about upstate's innovation and technology economy.
