A new state-of-the-art warehouse and distribution facility with plans to create dozens of jobs has opened in the Town of Sanborn. The company, which serves the U.S. and Canadian markets, also purchased lots of land for future expansion. 

 

Ride-hailing services are expected to be up and running across the region in about 90 days, according to State Senator Tim Kennedy.

Redevelopment of the former Bethlehem Steel site, in Lackawanna, is another step closer to reality. The Erie County Industrial Development Agency approved buying nearly 150 acres of the site along Route 5 Thursday. County Executive Mark Poloncarz says, it's an important purchase for the IDA and the County.

North Tonawanda based Confer Plastics has expanded its product line and workforce with the help of low-cost hydropower.

Under a new state law that takes effect Tuesday residents are encouraged to report zombie properties. And people facing foreclosure are encouraged to stay in their homes.
