We reported earlier this week that WindTamer is expanding its Rochester facility with some taxpayer assistance.
We had noted in the fall that the startup appeared to shopping around for state help.
Apparently, WindTamer is a hot commodity.
A WindTamer executive says the company also has an agreement with Pennsylvania, which it can sign if it chooses to expand its production capabilities even further.
But a look at the company's publicly available financial statements (along with recent developments at WindTamer), muddies the picture of the stability of this local green energy startup.
While one local analyst says it might not make sense for the state to invest in all the hype, WindTamer insists they're on the cusp of a banner year.
We take a look.

Empire State Development (ESD) wouldn't talk to us on tape about this story, so we filed a FOIL request for the signed incentives agreement between ESD and WindTamer.
We got it today and are looking into it. You can check it out in its entirety below.
