There are some big changes coming to the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge in Rochester.

After having been held at RIT in Henrietta since 2004, and Highland Park before that, the race and walk are coming to Downtown Rochester.

The date will also change; it’s usually held in late May or early June. This year it will be held on July 11th, with a start time of 6:45 p.m.

The course details are still being finalized, but officials have announced there will be a new post-race hospitality venue, Frontier Field. Organizers say the demand for pre and post race hospitality helped prompt the move downtown. They say Frontier Field’s interior and exterior will offer a variety of creative options.

Mayor Lovely Warren says the move to downtown will help showcase the business community’s “extraordinary spirit of teamwork, camaraderie and commitment to health.”

Registration for the corporate challenge will open on April 11.
