To our Innovation Trail readers:

All of us at Innovation Trail apologize for the technical difficulties we've experienced the past few days. If you tried to access InnovationTrail.org, you may have noticed it was down.

How ironic is it that the site reporting on upstate New York innovation and technology...forgot to renew its domain registration! And on our two-year anniversary no less!

We thank you, our readers, so much for your patience as we worked to get ourselves back online. The technical crew at our lead station, WXXI, found our problem quickly and worked hard to get us back up and running. A big thank you to them!

We also say thank you...to you. In two years, (the award-winning) Innovation Trail has cemented itself as the premier news source on upstate New York’s economy and technological innovation.

Over the past two years, we’ve extensively covered the issues that affect you: hydrofracking, alternative energy, the Regional Economic Development councils, small business issues, and so many others. So much has happened, that’s it’s hard to believe it has been two years.

Our third year brings about many exciting changes. Our friends at North Country Public Radio will be an official Innovation Trail partner. You will soon see reports emanating from the beautiful North Country area, making Innovation Trail a true upstate New York operation.

We will soon name a new Innovation Trail editor. Our former editor, Rachel Ward, saw the birth and growth of the Innovation Trail, and she did a fantastic job.

Again, thank you so much for your support during the first two years. Continue to follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and on our partner stations.

It will be an exciting third year, come along for the ride!

Best Regards,

Juan Vazquez
